




The Huron-Wendat Museum offers activities and pedagogical workshops adapted to all age groups from pre-school to secondary. All the activities include a tour of the Museum and emphasize creativity and exploration of cultural diversity. The activities are in line with the objectives of the education program of the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec.
Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
Discovering Wendat Culture proposes an introduction to dance, craftwork and traditional objects.
Exploring the Museum introduces students to Iroquoian artefacts dating from the 1500s.
Barter features Iroquoians and Algonquians involved in an exchange of goods.
the Museum proposes an introduction to the traditional game jeu du bol and an invitation to taste cedar tea. A Visit in 1820 allows students to play the roles of period characters visiting Grand Chief Tsawenhohi.
The Discovery package tour includes a visit to the Huron-Wendat Museum and Old Wendake (Tsawenhohi House, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Church, Kabir Kouba waterfall and the Mural of the Wendat People). A heritage tour has been created so that visitors may discover the oldest houses of Wendake and the history of the Wendat.
