The Huron-Wendat Museum offers a wide range of package tours and special activities. Some are seasonal and others are offered year round. Most of the package tours are intended for groups and require a reservation. For more information, do not hesitate to contact us!

PACKAGE TOURS OFFERED YEAR ROUND

THE DISCOVERY PACKAGE TOUR

Our most popular package tour! The Discovery package tour offers visitors a guided visit of the numerous cultural and heritage sites of Old Wendake. In addition to the Museum, the guided tour includes visits to Tsawenhohi House, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Church, the Fresco of the Wendat Nation and the Kabir Kouba waterfall. MOOSEHAIR EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

Group activity (10 or more). Reservation required.

Refined in the 19^th century by Marguerite Vincent Lawinonkie, the craft of moosehair embroidery has brought fame to Wendake. Become one of the privileged few to be initiated into this traditional technique! The activity takes place over the course of a day and includes a tour of the Museum, watching a documentary on the subject, and the material required for the initiation. Moosehair embroidery: a tradition to pass on!

WINTER PACKAGE TOURS

SNOWSHOE PACKAGE TOURS

Come and enjoy a unique winter activity: take one of our Snowshoe package tours and travel back in time! The action takes place in 1850. You are a small group of hunters who have hired a Wendat hunting guide in the village of Jeune-Lorette. Equipped with snowshoes, you will take part in a (fictitious) hunt on the grounds around the Museum and Tsawenhohi House. Afterwards, you are invited to our fall cabin for a traditional snack and a steaming cup of Labrador tea.

Snowshoe package tour:

Duration: 2 hours
Group: Minimum of 4 and maximum of 15 participants

Torchlight snowshoe package tour:

Duration: 1 hour
Group: Minimum of 4 and maximum of 15 participants

Snowshoe gourmet package tour:

Replace the light snack with a full meal at the restaurant La Traite.
An exclusive menu is offered for this tour.

Duration: 1 hour (for the snowshoe excursion)
Group: Minimum of 4 and maximum of 15 participants.

SUMMER PACKAGE TOURS

RIVER PACKAGE TOURS

The Akiawenrahk (Saint-Charles) river is intimately tied to the community of Wendake. Take advantage of your visit to the Huron-Wendat Museum to discover the river of a thousand bends! These package tours are for groups only and require a reservation. They are available in summer, 7 days a week. Contact us for rates and details.

Rabaska package tour:

Group: Minimum of 6, maximum of 10

Excursion boat tour:

Duration: 90 minutes
Group: Maximum of 10

The excursion boat is covered. The activity can take place even in the event of bad weather.
